Project Description

Steelwork and decking were provided to form a new 3 storey teaching pod in the centre of the new concrete framed structure. Due to the complexity of the structure, steelwork was utilised to form the floors which appears to twist on plan, with each working level being in a different position on plan to the level below.

All columns would appear to be sloping, and through the use of fully welded sleeve connections, the columns, although stop starting at each level, would appear to run seamlessly full height. Full trial installation was completed of each floor level within the factory to ensure that any issues were fully rectified before going to site.
